چکیده
Abstract: Aim: The present work intends to formulate and evaluate film forming solution of diphenhydramine. Materials Methods: Film solutions (FFS) for transdermal delivery Diphenhydramine HCl were prepared using different polymers (hydroxypropyl cellulose, Eudragit L 100, polyvinylpyrollidone K30 K90), PEG 400 as plasticizer ethyl alcohol solvent. Results: found display an acceptable drying time ranging from 2 5 min. In-vitro release studies indicated percentage drug released by the end 8 h FFS HPC-EF, 100 PVP K 30 was be 41.31 ± 2.1%, 14.81 1.2 % 25.7 1.9 respectively. HPC-EF that readily considered further development incorporating penetration enhancers like azone, isopropyl myristate oleic acid. Steady state flux across shed snake skin used a barrier in vertical Franz diffusion cell 42.27 ±3.5 mg/cm2/hr, 51.18 ±4.9 mg/cm2/hr 57.91 7.2 containing myristate, acid azone permeation Conclusion: Considering plasma clearance steady flux, it can inferred enhancer needs spread application area 0.5 cm2 elicit therapeutic response. Key words: solution, HCl, Antihistamine, Transdermal delivery, Shed skin.
